The vampire was perfectly content at the moment. Bastian loved the beach, and was amazed at his fortune in finding the private vacation house. The lovely little building was abandoned, thought too nice to remain so for long, and it was right on the beach with it’s own private section. He knew he wouldn’t be bothered, since he was on private property, and this was a fairly safe haven for him to relax in, after having to struggle to survive for so long. Eventually, some unfortunate owner of the wondrous house would return, and he’d even have a nice meal…
Until then, it wasn’t hard to pick up tourists for food, and Bastian could see himself here a long time. If he took care of the place, maybe nobody would bother him. It was such a pain having to find a new place to stay, to fake new credentials every so often. If he played his cards right, then nobody would ask any questions for a long time
The figure, a milky pale from centuries without sun, had purchased a pair of swimming trunks, and was ‘sunbathing’ out in the middle of the night. It was pointless, but it brought back fond memories, and the sounds of the waves were relaxing. Bastian’s black, waist-length hair was soaked, and his defined muscles glistened with the sea water. He’d just sit a bit longer enjoying nature, and in a few hours get into the house and find something to do, as the night was still young. The only problem with the beautiful scenery and the safety of the solitude was that he was lonely…
