Her name was Nera, and she was in a place that it was very stupid to be at that exact moment. The Thunder Plains weren't a place one holidayed, of course, but passing through them was never something anyone looked forward to. Nera did not travel without purpose, however. She was searching for something. Some ONE actually. Someone who had stolen something from her, something she wanted back, desperately. The only problem was...she didn't know who had it. All she cared about was her father's bracer. She'd been mugged on the road, and the bandits had stolen her father's bracer from her in the struggle. She'd caught up with the bandits later, and had very calmly pounded one of them until he confessed they had sold it to a man.
All she knew about him was that he journeyed towards the Calm Lands. To get there...she had to pass through the Thunder Plains. She hated storms. Her father had been lost in Kilika, during a storm at sea. That Bracer...it was all she had left. She wanted it back, desperately.
She was so desperate, she was crossing the plains, alone, at night. She could see the shadowy bulk of the Inn in the distance, and waited for a lull in the booming and flashing before she made a dash forwards. Nera had purchased a spell in Guadosalam that protected her, but it was still unpleasant to be struck. The pretty young gunner managed to reach the shelter of the Inn before being struck, and burst through the doors, startling patrons at the bar.
Nera glanced around, blushing, and saw a mirror on the wall. Hastily, she smoothed her long dark hair, and wiped a smudge off her cheek from beneath her right eye. Her eyes were a warm brown, and her lips rather full. At her hips hung two matching guns, her tight pants accentuating her firm rear and the cropped top showing off a flat tummy and nice breasts. Around her waist she wore a split skirt, and her pants tucked into her boots. Her left arm was covered by a bracer in black, but her right arm, where her father's antique engraved leather bracer had been, was bare. She turned from the mirror at last, and approached the Innkeeper.
"Room?' she asked hopefully, and he shook his head helplessly. "Sorry, Miss. I'm full up. You could sleep under the shelter outside for free, if you don't mind sharing with the chocobos." he shrugged. "Or you can see if someone here will split a room...let you sleep on the floor by the fire." he added. Nera glanced around. Not many women in that crowd...but a few attractive men. Not a total horror.
