Political Tactic: Kidnapping Empty
PostSubject: Political Tactic: Kidnapping   Political Tactic: Kidnapping Icon_minitimeWed Apr 30, 2008 9:53 am

They had planned this for months. To perform this action would be a declaration of war, nothing to take lightly. Siv held his hand up steadying the several troops under his command. Eight heavy cavalry, along with twenty light cavalry riding ahead armed with short bows and spears, and finally several of the very best bowman in the kingdom of Malice. Siv was taking no chances this day, this was there only chance at the Princess of his enemy. She was being escorted across the country side to her summer home, guarded by several guard who were no joke in terms of experience and battle prowess.

The thing that made this location special was it was not only up a hill from the path they would take, but right at the edge of the Wise Oak Forest, which gave excellent cover. An important thing for a battle like this. And also good for Siv who had a very important mission. Normally, covered in armor, Siv was a very menacing sight to behold, but today he was dressed lightly, he would not be in the heat of the battle like his men. But today, there was no shame in such! For he was going to be making the escape alone, taking the princess on his mighty war steed bred for long distance running. Meanwhile, his men would both fight, and lead the enemy astray as he himself made the true catch.

The signal came, a scout releasing a crow with a red ribbon attached to its leg, the caravan was nearing. Siv's heart seemed to be caught in slow motion, before it started beating with increased pace as the caravan and its armed guard came into view, a white and blue set of colors. Again he raised his arm to steady his men, who were thirsty for the action presented before them. He heard the arrows notched, a few of the more anxious pulling the strings back.

Down on the ground were buried caltrops, that would jut into the hooves of the horses of their enemies. He waited, it seemed longer than the planning itself, as they slowly approached, not aware this standard and routine escort was about to be turned to havoc. As they took the final step, Siv could see the eyes of his foes, and dropped his hand. Black arrows flew, and both men and horses screamed as song of death played across this serene landscape.

Political Tactic: Kidnapping EveinchainslinesBettercopy

It had been planned for the princess to be taken to her summer home, after a long year of schooling. Eve was ready to lay by the lake, sunning with out a care in the world, tis the dream of the young and rich perhaps. However it seemed that her plans would be altered quite a bit. Pushing her silver locks back over her shoulder, Eve turned the page of the novel she was really into. Her father often frowned upon the books she read, in his mind there was no place for romance. Royalty married because it was their duty, not for pleasure. In fact while she was away at her summer home the king was busy drawing up contacts with t neighboring kingdom. The prince twenty five and both king could see Eve producing them a lovely heir to the thrown. Had she know about was going on Eve would have had a fit.

Beside her was her child hood friend Emily, really she was her servant, but Eve always had her tag along on her adventures. Plus she had never lifted a finger since she was taken in. Emily glanced up out of the coach window; she smiled as she saw the crow with the red ribbon, and really though nothing of it. “You think the weather will be nice Eve?” She glanced up from her book. “It better be, I have been looking forward to it all year.” Then returned to her spot on the page. “I really hope it is, I remember last year we stayed up all night sometimes just talking, and stuffing our faces with junk food” Eve smiled at her memory, though she had matured a lot since then. “Father says it’s not right to do such things” The king said a lot of things.

Suddenly there was a jolt to the coach causing both of the girls to fall off their seats. The horses had started to buck wildly, the guards spying the caltrops finally, but it was already too late. Four men came around to protect the coach the princess was in, when the war cries had begun to sound out. With skill they would protect her, and all would give up their lives for her today. It was the price one paid to serve the royal family.

The princess peeked out to see what was going on. The fight had not yet begun which meant she had time to retreat. It was not the smartest move, but it was the only way she could remove herself from this horrid situation. Grabbing Emily had she jerked her out of the coach. A guard nodded and told her to run. The guard would give her time by stopping anyone that might head after her. They however never expected Siv. “Just keep running Emily…no matter what happens…just run.” Eve released her hand knowing that this was an attack on her. She looked over her shoulder seeing the battle that was now taking place. “Oh my lord” it was a sight she had never witnessed before.

Siv had behind him a second horse, just in case as he rode forward, holding onto his own steed with his powerful legs. Rather than a sword, he was wielding a mace, and as he rode by many of the heavily armored knights, he weaved through blows and slammed the blunt weapon against their heads and chests, rather than piercing their thick armor he simply crushed their organs underneath. However it was only to get clear of the fighting, however much he was enjoying the bloodshed, he broke through to see a pair of young girls running across the field. They had been much safer in their caravan.

There was one guard however, who dared challenge Siv in single combat to block his path from his target. The Dark knight barely dodged the swing of the massive blade, and instead of aiming for the man armed far better than him currently, struck the leg of his horse, breaking the creatures limb with a well placed strike. It soon fell under its own weight, and the knight was left on the ground only to be trampled to death by both his own flailing horse and the steed in tow behind Siv.

He was not royalty, but still a Noble and trained well in the arts of battle, to the point that he rose among the ranks quickly, now commanding this task force for a most important mission. And it was this commander, that was on the two girl's heels. His foot came forward, a large boot slamming into the back of the servant girl, before he reached down to scoop the poor woman up, throwing her onto his saddle. He soon wheeled himself, and as he put away his weapon swung to the side, aiming to now grab the Princess herself. He would take both for now, at least the servant girl might calm the Princesses nerves a little, at least until she was of no use.

((Sorry this post is short, I ran out of fluff

The princess looked over her shoulder once again seeing Emily get booted in the back. Eve turned her concentration on her task on hand getting away from this man, any way possible. She loved Emily, but there was no way to save herself. She lifted the hem of her dress to her knees allowing her legs to carry her faster, she screamed once before the man reached for her. His hand touching bare skin. It was over now, she knew that, but she was damned if she would go without a fight.

Eve swung around fist aiming for any dart of this man. “You monster!!” she screamed missing, ad trying a second time. Would the commander find her efforts cute? On the upside she seemed down to earth, with a fire in her that would be fun to put out.

Emily laid over the saddle much to scared to fight like the princess. She knew her status, meaning she was not needed. Emily would find herself luckily if she lived through this ordeal.

It was a good thing the servant remained still, it would not take much for Siv to break her neck in this position. The Princess however was starting to annoy him. When she finally landed a punch, it was against hard studded leather. She had gone far enough with the silly charade. Her actions were not cute, but rather futile. Annoyed and tired of trying to avoid hurting her, Siv instead attempted to slam his fist into the stomach.

If the Dark knight succeeded, the Princess would find herself on the back of the horse. She was a feisty one, not like the dainty pathetic girl you read about in fairy tales. In a way it made him smile, soon that spirit would be broken. She was very beautiful, that was for sure, as was expected of the royal family. Siv was no slouch in that department, though he was not nearly as handsome as the knights in shining armor fables told of. His face was more rugged, his eyes a dark ocean blue full of stout resolution, and as he watched the princess struggle, a glimmer of lust. He took pleasure in battle, almost of the sexual nature. That combined with kidnapping two lovely women, and he was feeling the rush of want come over him. He pushed it away through will power, he needed to clear this battlefield soon, and be on his way. There was always time for fun later.

The punch landed square in Eve’s stomach knocking the wind from her. Falling forward, though he would catch her in time. Eve had never been hit in such away, the pain was unreal. Her eyes opened and she found herself of the back of his steed.

Emily could not take it, and became brave. She was not just a friend of Eves, she was a servant. which meant she had the duty to protect Eve. Quietly she slipped a hairpin out of her blond hair and stabbed the commander in the leg, sinking it deep into his flesh. Yes indeed this was the wrong move, it was not like a hair pin was going to kill their attacker. “Leave the princess alone you monster” Her only hope was that the commander had enough patience to deal with her, but this was a slight indication that she would be a bother for her later.

The princess heard Emily cry out against the man, she could not tell exactly what was going on. She feared that the commander. Would not find reason in keeping her around, and prayed the Emily would stay smart and not do anything irrational….but that it was too late for that prayer.

Siv gritted his teeth as he felt the annoying stab into his leg. Raised for battle, it took far more than that to truly pain him, but it was enough to earn his scorn. The knight reached down and grabbed her by the hair pulling her up before the hand holding the reigns smacked her across the face, breaking her lip to knock her out. He would be sure to repay her kindly for the wound later, and ignored her pathetic words as he rode on into the forest. He tied the reigns of the second horse to his saddle, and maneuvered them through the trees, far lighter than the knights behind them at the slaughter he would be able to get great distance in a short amount of time.

He drove the horses hard, he was aiming for a river before he stopped to water them. He hoped the Princess and her now sleeping servant wouldn't cause any more trouble. It would be a very painful jump to leap from the horses now, and he would only grab them up again. He left the hair pin in his leg, knowing it would stop the blood until he could properly see to it, it wasn't too bad a wound anyways. He had all the gear he needed to see it was fixed. Siv just hoped it would be before nightfall.

Eve heard Sivs hand connect to Emily’s face, and cringed knowing that she was most likely knocked unconscious. No telling what this man would do to her if she tried to fight him and being that he was riding the horse as hard as he was, their was no way that she could find out why he had come for her. Her stomached still pained her and riding on her stomach was not helping with the discomfort. The princess closed her eyes and hoped that the ride would come to a stop soon.

Her father would not get word of the slighter for a few days time, and by then there was not much he could do to save his only daughter. He would have thought it damn near impossible for his royal guard to be cut down like they were.

It was nearing dusk when he heard the moving water. He soon slowed and turned back to the princess. "Don't try to run, or I will make this bitch scream so loudly your father will hear her," He said with a voice that meant every word, the first sentence from his mouth so far. As they approached the river, he got off his horse and pulled her servant off, throwing her onto the bank. He then walked toward the Princess with a very slight limp from the wound, and grabbed at her arm, "Come on down, the horses need water, and rest from your ass on their backs," He said as he pulled Eve from the saddle.

The knight did not stop there however, and quickly grabbed her arm with force and pulled her over to her friend, "Tend to her face," He said as he pulled out a pack out of his saddle and sat down next to them. The knight brushed his dark black hair from his face as he did, "Are you hungry?" He asked her in a half polite tone.

He brought his horse to a stop and princess sighed. She however was a bit shock at the commanders actions when he pulled Emily from the horse and tossed her on the banks of the rive like she was a rag doll. When he came for her grabbing her arm she half expected the same thing. “You are something else” she had faith that she was needed for something and that he would not overly abuse her. “Like I wanted to be on your horse…I think I was forced into this situation” Eve struggled as she was forced over to Emily. She calmed down and quickly brought Emily’s head onto her lap. “Hitting women, you should be ashamed” The princess used her dress to clean up her friend split lip, and in doing so Emily finally seemed like she was coming around.

“Do I want food? Go to hell!!” Eve was hardly feeling lady like right now. “I would rather starve then take anything from you.” She stroked her friends face trying to soothe her. It would become pretty clear that even being a princess did not make her uppity; Eve was rather down to earth when she was not around her father. “My father will send his guards for me; you don’t have a chance in winning this battle.” Was she forgetting that a lot of the royal guards had been cut down?

"Your royal guard are some of the most skilled combatants in the world, however in battle individual skill means nothing when strategy is involved, the king will know better than to press after us, not that you even know who we are, for all you know we are merely bandits," He said nothing more as he finished tending to his leg, wrapping a bandaged around it and tucking the hair pin away, looking at Emily now. He stood up, and grabbed some rope, walking toward the two girls now. "Lets not make this difficult princess," He said in a calm voice, ignoring all her insults for now. The Princess had only spoken, and barely hit him, the other had actually inflicted a wound, and on top of that there was no requirement to keep her alive. He soon told the Princess just that.

"I don't need to keep that girl alive, and I know she is close to you, if you value her life at all you will comply. Her life is in your hands, either way you will be coming back with me in these ropes, this is just determining your state of well being and your servant's life," He said coldly. The horses had found the water, and were both broken to only ride at a word from his lips that was foreign to the Princess, he was not worried too much about that. However, he did not feel like chasing her down. He wanted to keep her put for now. And to play with her servant of course.
