Having a little sister who was only two years younger than you was beginning to become a pain even for him. The person who was voted “Most Attractive” of his high school class, “Most likely” and was tied to have the title “Most Athletic “ with the captain of the track team. All these titles meant nothing to him; Shawn wasn’t that type of person where he’ll use his own status/ title to be little someone, because well quite frankly, people will lose sleep over something like this trivial title. “Most attractive” or “Most likely” it was because of the title that at the time when Shawn was still in high school where all the girls, at least the one that care about their status would drop down to their knees and treat him like a celebrity.
Still, having all these titles under your belt doesn’t necessarily make you a better man than someone else. Shawn was always a humble person. If only his sister would be that way. To her, titles, status, power, meant everything to her. She even let go a wonderful friend just because she had feelings for her older brother. Though Shawn said he won’t speak to her if she went through with it, it didn’t stop her from asking all the annoying questions that a younger sibling would have. “How’s college like?” or “Did you went to a frat party and did all those ‘manly’ things”…Shawn dreaded the day her sister was born. He was two, but he remembered that even back then she was still annoying. He didn’t really remember everything, but he remembered that she would follow him around, wherever he went. That’s just plain annoying.
Now that spring break arrived, Shawn decided to visit the old high school which he was so popular in. In truth, Shawn was just being himself, he worked hard at everything he did, and didn’t let the frame go to his head, like a certain person he knew, mainly his sister. Being known as his sister, gave her instant frame. And well, Shawn didn’t like what his mother been telling him about how she been behaving ever since he left for college.
College life was exactly what he had pictured it would be, titles doesn’t mean anything in college, unless of course you’re in a frat or sorority. He was enjoying the peaceful time he had by himself. He wasn’t as popular, but he quickly made some friends, now these friends weren’t the ones he had back in high school, for one, they actually had a brain, and had plans for their future. Anyways, back to the present time. Shawn was in the drama room, the principle had told him when he got the visitors pass, that the drama room had been renovated since he was last here, and it only had been two years, and that he should check it out.
Well, there was no time like the present, he had only been back a day, and the first thing he did was went to check up on his high school. That was kind of lame, but he did it regardless if his old friends were going to go with him. He ended up going by himself. Now as he stood on stage, in the drama room he looked around. It certainly looked better than the old crumbling look it use to have when he was here. He shrugged and saw that no one was around; he began doing push-ups right in the middle of the stage. He then heard the door open. He pushed himself back up and looked over to see who it was. He waved his hand, “Hi…” then realizing who it was his voice slowly became silent. It was the girl that had a crush on him, that was two years younger than him had just entered the room and was now leaving.
A rush of thoughts exploded in his mind, what should he do? With his heart now pounding at his chest. He felt it was time to settle this once and for all. Why should there be an awkward feeling between them? Just because she likes him doesn't mean he can't talk to her, just because his sister aren't friends with her doesn't make it that he can't be friends with her. Shawn quickly jogged down to where she was. "Hey...you have a minute?" said Shawn.
